If the state can force landlords not to increase rent or even evict tenants because of high un employment during a pandemic, how can a utility company have the audacity to raise rates for the most basic needs of human life - WATER ! At the scheduled proposed by BCWA = 45+% increase spread out over 11 years. This is atrocious. I will be digging a well.

The unique freshwater species and habitat is cherished, there is NO other such habitat in the area. Every fish, turtle and species would be destroyed. Have they proposed to relocate the living creatures - NO they have not. This area is also a beautiful migratory area for swans and their babies ! please do not remove the dams...

Bristol Country Water Authority (BCWA) raised rates 10% last year, now again they are proposing to increase rates by 5% this year and 3+% for the next 10 more year to come !

The BCWA has a long history of this cavalier behavior. They are aggressive with this proposal the Dir is leaving in Feb 2021, they are tryin to pass the unpopular issue prior to the new Dir from stepping in. We should be using this opportunity to audit the funding and maintenance history of the infrastructure. FOLLOW THE MONEY. Write to the Public Utility Commission (PUC) and Governor to INVESTIGATE the BCWA. If any person or company fails to comply with the law, and a resultanant casue of harm is inflicted on any one person or enviroment, that is called NEGLEGENCE and they should not be allowed to pay for their fines with our dollars - because that is EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE DOING !

OPPOSE - No rate hikes for increasing risk and pollution of Mt Hope Bay ! Who or what agency is supporting this ? I am writing to Sen Reed and Sen Whitehouse to investigate.

This makes me so angry that they are thinking of destroying the damn instead of fixing it and saving the environment and habitats of animals. These humans disgust me beyond belief...

My parents fought the BCWA back in the 1990s after the company took some of their property by “eminent domain”, without even conferring with them...My parents won the battle,,,so can we!!!

I’ve been a 23 resident on Serpentine Rd in Warren. The BWA has not done any maintenance on the dams in many yrs they were negligent to the residents and failed to do the right thing for the town and it’s residents.
