This is currently a family friendly cul-de-sac in a quiet location, this would have a major impact on the residents lifestyle.

Using this road as a thoroughfare will adversely affect the current residents who did not buy on a busy road

I oppose the use of Hopkins St as access for any development on Munibung Hill. Increased traffic on Hopkins St would also increase traffic on Council St and Alley St. We already have seen a large increase in traffic since the recently added homes on Hopkins St were added a few years back.

I live at Belmont and travel to Hopkins Street regularly to visit my grandson, to get here from the main road requires several twists & turns across dangerous intersections as there is no direct route. A new large residential development requiring access via Hopkins Street would cause added through traffic increasing danger to the various narrow residential streets leading into Hopkins Street. Hopkins St is certainly not a wide street and hopefully an independent assessment from an expert in traffic flow may reveal recommendations for safer access for the proposed new development. All to often the rate payers suffer the consequences of Councils caving-in to developers and accepting sub-standard planning. The ambience of Speers Point has steadily been improving over the past few years (reflected in increased property values/sales) so it would be in the best interest of LMC to ensure that this suburb continues to improve not deteriorate like some of LMC other suburbs.

Please don't disrupt the ambiance of this quiet and relaxing street.

Having visited this street a number of times, I can certainly agree that use of this street and the streets leading to it for a large new residential development would not only cause danger and disturbance to the residents of Hopkins street but also to the various streets leading into Hopkins street. As it stands, Hopkins street doesn't have easy access to main roads, with many dangerous intersections between it and the main roads, an increase in traffic would exacerbate this. In addition, it is clear that Hopkins street isn't wide enough for an increased volume of traffic, and that widening would adversely effect residents. A thorough study into traffic options would be the only wise choice. I am a resident of LMCC and trust our council will adequately consider the concerns expressed in this petition.

This is a quiet family orientated street, which would be obliterated if Hopkins Street provided access to a development site.

Keep our streets and family safe. The plan needs a re-draft.
