From C. HO. Are there any parking statistics available on the parking? i.e who is using the parking, for what purposes, for how long...etc?. A study should be conduct first before any action is taken. If Management is to take any action based on anecdotal information, it is simply not acceptable. This unilateral action taken by the management is not handled professionally in my opinion. It reflects badly on the management on how they are doing business. In any case, if the final decision is to charge for parking at Mon sheong LTC, then there should be limited staff parking and everyone (including the staff) should be treated exactly the same way. After all, everyone in the Mon Sheong LTC family are all in same boat.

There are many many other ways to raise money, instead of putting your hands into the pockets of those who spend their time to take care of the seniors.

Why the family/friends has to paid for parking to visit the residents.

Pay parking won't solve the limited parking space problem, But will have a great impact on the well- being of the residents.9 -- 5 is the best time for the residents to enjoy the company of the family and friends. After dinner they will either be in bed or too tired to enjoy our company. Do we go just to sing them the lullabyor just watch them sleeping?

Charging parking fee will not solve the real problem of insufficient parking space because most visitors and volunteers can only get to the Centre by car. The Centre is in the suburb, with very limited public transit available. This Pay Parking scheme is just to increase revenue for Mon Sheong. It will reduce family member visits and hurt the senior residents.

Don't see any reasons we should pay for parking, instead it will causing more inconvenience for visitors!

Although I fully agree that there is an inadequate parking issue that needs to be resolved, I strongly feel that this is not the right course of action and will be a strong detriment to the less privileged in the community. Mon Sheong, please reconsider this decision. There are effective alternatives outlined in the petition that should satisfy all parties involved.

This parking fee would discourage visitors and volunteers from coming to Mon Sheong, and thus diminish the quality of care provided to the residents of Mon Sheong. These residents, who mean so much to families, friends, and the greater community, deserve to be looked after. Where would the money from the parking fees go to? Is this a long-term, permanent solution to the traffic problem? Was this considered when the parking lot size was reduced? Instead of introducing a parking fee, consider other options. Perhaps other modes of transportation can be encouraged.

I agreed on the motion to oppose fee-for-parking at Mon Sheong Richmond Hill LTCC.

Imposing fee does not fix the root issue of insufficient parking spaces.

Just make more parking spots. Already have so few. More than half is for staff and always empty.

If there is a budget issue, I am sure the "Friends of Mon Sheong" & its stakeholders are willing to find a way to increase the revenue (through donations and other means) provided the Board has look at ways to reduce cost and save. Involve the stakeholders, we are all in the same boat.

If there is a parking fee, that may discourage people to visit more often, hence create more work for your staff

Please increase the number of parking spaces available for family and visitors.

Pay for parking only if there are adequate parking space for the staff, volunteers and visitors.

It does not make sense.
