You can’t change the rules to suit the council and new outlets! It’s non residential that how it should stay.Plus we don’t need more food outlets or business there!

This is bad for Bathurst Basin and I am sure we don't need any new restaurants in the Welsh Back area. This is purely about the Council's finances.

This move makes no sense. Bathurst Basin is a non residential looting site and the ebaneazer is far too large for this basin. This seems like a complete abuse of power by the council to satisfy one developers needs. Shocking.

The city council's proposal to move Ebenhaezer from Welsh Back, where I live, to the Bathurst Basin, where I used to live, seems wholly wrong. The vessel is far too large for its proposed new home, which it would dominate. It fits into its existing space and its occupants want to stay there. If this does not fit with the authority's plans for Welsh Back, tough! There are already enough places to eat and drink in the vicinity and those of us who live in the area, whether on land or on the water, should not have to put up with more.

The Boat is too big and unsuitable for Bathurst basin. Better moored outside near Lloyds steps where there are similar sized boats

The size of Bathurst Basin, the nature of the craft already moored there, the impact of such a large vessel in the Basin, all make the proposed movement of the Ebenhaezer a completely unacceptable proposition to those who live, work and enjoy the leisure amenities around the Basin.

I am against the moving of this barge into the Basin, this goes against council policy or are the going to change policy to get this through. Stop destroying the last bit of dockland heritage we have got left.

I agree with all the comments, stop this abuse of power and let the family stay in the mooring they have now...find a more sustainable use for the sheds, no more bars please..

Ebenhaezer is not an appropriate sized vessel to be be moved into Bathurst Basin, I am shocked at some of the comments about it being ugly, unsightly it is a beautiful old barge and looks at home in it present location.
I work in Welsh Back and the thought of more bars and food outlets is enough to make your blood boil, the roads around the area can't cope with the weight of traffic as it is now, the noise and traffic from the proposed bars would only make a bad situation worse.
I am appalled at the way the residents of Ebenhaezer are being treated or should I say bullied by the council..if it was bricks and mortar the situation would be a great deal different and is completely against what we all stand for in this country,
Make use of the sheds to provide tourists and locals with a site to be proud of, not just another eatery that wont be around next year!
