This is another example of changing the rules mid-stream and never mind who.or how many people are trampled on in the meantime.

My objection is that it`s not compatible with established low density development - Is not consistent with existing and desired character of our estate - Bayswood Estate was nor designed to meet the additional parking requirements of higher density dwellings (traffic/pedestrian hazard) - We purchased our home a few years ago based on the above set of rules.

Our property was sold to us on a promise that Bayswood was to remain a low density single dwelling development.

This D.A. for a dual occupancy @ 61 Summercloud Crescent is totally incompatible with the original master plan & the building design as stipulated to all of us who bought & built with the understanding that the Bayswood Development was a low density style of housing. The adjoining properties would be denied the solar aspects that they originally designed their buildings to accommodate. Parking is limited & the adjacent street front does not provide for excess vehicles. I’m extremely concerned & disappointed that we again have been asked to examine & reject an incompatibil D.A. This DA is not in line with the design rules with which all other bayswood owners had to comply.

Dual occupancy within the Bayswood Estate is a complete betrayal to the Bayswood Master Plan. Owner occupier residents purchased property and built their homes in good faith believing they were secure in choosing to reside in a quiet low density estate free from city type living such as high traffic areas, high rental, less parking all caused by dual occupancy. This plan is not compatible with established low density development agreements. This plan is not consistent with the existing and desired character of our estate - the very reasons of why we bought and built in this area! Bayswood estate has not been designed to meet dual occupancy requirements. This plan will devalue the established properties that again, were purchased in good faith of low single living dwellings in a quiet estate, currently in harmony with its natural surrounding environment. The Council has a responsibility to stand up for rights of the residents and DO THE RIGHT THING ! ABSOLUTELY NO DUAL OCCUPANCY in BAYSWOOD!!!!!!!
