I am trying to cultivate an online community to engage the families of Trinity. My hope is to give others a voice in a consideration of a rezoning issue.
Please join me and families alike, in OPPOSING 46.26 acre track located at 4782 Hoover Hill Rd. Trinity, NC from being rezoned RA to RIO-CD. If allowed, this will place a 5-watt PV Solar Farm as per site, in our area!!! By signing below you are joining with others in the community to oppose this rezoning!

I do not oppose ALL Solar Panel Farms, but this 1 I do. This is just NOT the right area for this to happen. NO to this rezoning!
I just don't think this is the right place for a solar farm!
Although I understand the Bevan family's desire to do something with that property for financial gain...this isn't the right answer. The RIO-CD zoning ordinance is not appropriate per the Randolph County Unified Ordinance Rules because the property in question is in a PRIMARY Growth Area. Per the Randolph County Unified Ordinance the RIO-CD zoning is ONLY appropriate in Rural Growth Areas and in RARE instances Secondary Growth Areas! Primary Growth Areas are specifically excluded from this type of rezoning and I cannot believe the Planning and Zoning Committee completely disregarded their OWN ordinance! Please join us in signing this petition and stand up for our rights as tax paying citizens of Randolph County by letting your voice be heard at the Randolph County Board of Commissioners meeting at the Old Courthouse on Worth St. October 3rd at 6:00pm!

My property is only 35 ft from where these solar panels will be put. I am concerned about the water drain off from these panels. Could they possibly leak and contaminate my garden area. After all, the water does run onto my property from this field already. I'm sure this will also decrease the value of my property along with all neighbors in this area.
