I am a Middleburg resident that is opposed to the Aldie Agreement swap. The "tourist trap" planned development would ruin the historic nature and charm of Aldie and overburden its roads with even more traffic than it already has to endure. The "trade" and the development are both ridiculous.

As a resident of Middleburg, I oppose the "Aldie Agreement Swap" proposal. It would be a travesty to ruin the historic nature and charm of Aldie with a :tourist trap" development that would overwhelm the village and would overburden the two lane road with increased traffic.

One expects the local government to be good stewards of the the environment in the area it governs. This proposal is evidence this is not being done. This area is not suitable for the traffic and population density that this and other future developments would bring. The terrain simply can't be managed properly like it is flat terrain. Steep slope grading. Bad idea. Where is the money going to come from to fix the problems it causes?

The scale of the proposed aggregate “Aldie Park” facility on the “Aldie Assemblage” property would dwarf the surrounding village and destroy its historic charm, in addition to creating negative environmental impacts from the required amount of steep slope grading.
