Open Village Rd Gate for Safer Access

opening of the gate at the corner of Edmund Rice Drive and Village Road during school hours. 7:00–9:00 AM and 2:00–4:00 PM

This is an easy fix and should what a great idea ! Happy to sign and hope it happens , will assist in flow of traffic immensely

We have resided behind the school for 25 years. Our children attended GA and AQ. We have previously signed numerous petitions on this matter. As residents, we find it frustrating that we are unable to exit our street onto Edmund Rice Drive during peak school hours due to traffic congestion, which often extends past the gun club and towards the university. Consequently, we avoid leaving our home between 2:30-3:30 pm daily to avoid prolonged waiting. It would be sensible to consider opening the southern end of Edmund Rice Drive as a one-way exit, allowing parents direct access onto Smith Street and facilitating travel in multiple directions, similar to the exit near Molendinar and Tip Top Bakery. Just another option that could be considered .

Should of been done along time ago

We’ve dealt with 15 year of the traffic bottleneck on Edmond Rice Drive, it’s a disgrace that nothing has ever been done about it

Easing congestion will make access to the university and schools so much easier during peak times

we need better traffic management

This is needed to reduce traffic and ensure safety of driver and students
