Many students are suffering from the lack of in-person instruction. This opportunity for learning will never be recaptured and the loss continues to grow. All studies have shown that schools are not incubators for this virus and that young people, when they do get the disease, have minimal or no symptoms.

As a former teacher i know that the multiple advantages of being 'in' the classroom far outweigh the small risk of contracting Covid.

It’s an absolute shame and embarrassment that we have high-risk sports, supported by Tim Terranova (his words) and our children remain at home with inadequate resources being provided on their at-home days. This is a District that only “follows” and does not “lead.” Tim’s words- we have the authority to reduce the 6 feet to 3, then why not??? As long as our educators are vaccinated-let’s go!!! For those who voted “yes” to the budget and elected an IT person to your Board, ask yourself if your District and new Board members have done anything to support you and your family this year, when you supported them? Take a stand community and demand change!

Safety should still be the number 1 focus but there are ways to safely open schools. The long term effect on education is just as important. Find the balance and get kids back in school!

If NYS can approve youth wrestling without masks, there is absolutely no reason why masked students couldn’t attend school full time with reduced social distancing.

I strongly feel that my kids would benefit from returning to school 5 days a week! Victor has proven they can contain the spread, let’s return to normalcy for the sake of our children!
