It’s safe for the school to open without masks and do 3’ distancing. It’s over a year now and kids are suffering. The crisis is over. We have had very low and mild cases and staff can vaccinate and or wear masks. Keeping it closed at this point is selfish. It’s time the children come first and the school teachers realize it’s our tax money that pays for them.

The teachers who wanted to be were immunized so they could safely work with our children. The quality of our children’s education has suffered greatly over the last year. The parents have shouldered a lot of the responsibility of educating our children. It’s time to let all our children go back to school everyday!

Hybrid does not work. My sons’ teachers are wonderful and working hard, but I am seeing major gaps in their education. It has not only been one full year now, but TWO grade levels that children have sacrificed. It is time to bring all students back full time.

Dr Terranova, after months of denying that you had any authority to open schools, your latest emails admit the power does in fact lie with you. You tout the return of athletics and other extracurriculars while ignoring that our littlest learners, the ones who need socialization most, are ignored. The children are suffering. The numbers are low. There has been no evidence of in school spread. Even the existing guidelines say 6 feet or masking. Not both. Open the schools now.
