Please, please consider reopening the Bubble so that our children can continue to receive tennis instruction from their amazing teachers at the Mel Stillman Center. The disruption has been extremely discouraging to the kids, not to mention the lost opportunity to allow them to continue to build on their skills in the off-season. Thank you.

Boston focuses on all of the sports that are nearly impossible to play in your senior years and that can also be dangerous to our children (football, hockey and baseball). Why not support a tennis infrastructure? Well, the Mel Stillman center was a start. It was well attended and a great resource for our community. Let's build a center we can all be proud of. Perhaps we can use it as model for other Boston neighborhoods.
While we're at it, let's resurface the one court off Austin Street too.

The tennis facility and programming is an important part of the community. There is very limited indoor court space in Boston and we should do what we can to keep tennis available for the community.

It saddens me to see something like this happen so abruptly, with a limited replacement plan. I have spent many years of my life learning, teaching and being challenged at the bubble. It's places like this that we need to exist in order to bring the city and its people together in a healthy, active and captivating way.

Can't imagine life in Charlestown without the bubble. It's a true tennis community there- a place of warm welcome, support, smiles, education and exercise. An epicenter of the town.
