Please close the parkways to vehicles and open them up to the hundreds of people on foot and bike who want to get outside!

We need to have safe spaces to walk and bike while social distancing. Driver aggression and speeds seem to have increased in the last week and those of us who're walking, using wheelchairs, and biking have nowhere safe to move, whether we're trying to be healthy getting exercise or needing to get to essential jobs. Especially with reduced bus service and warming spring weather, we need to make streets safe for all of us, because the sidewalks and paths aren't sufficient for the LOS they're seeing.

Spending time outdoors is about the only way people can get out at all anymore. Let's afford people the safe space to do so.

This is a great idea.

Let's open the parkways to people walking, biking and rolling! We need more space for everyone to get outside and be able to safely move (all the time, but especially) during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Let’s make movement possible in these times. Safety and social distance is a reality and with help from park workers this could be a welcoming gesture from city and county managers . Thx

Pedestrians need more space in the few places that are made for us. Drivers can use any other road to get where they're going.

Let's keep everyone safe, restricting vehicle traffic would help.

This would really help us maintain a social distance while getting outside for our mental and physical health. With vehicle traffic so light, there are plenty of other options for drivers.

I live near Cedar and Minnehaha Parkway and it was hard to be on Minnehaha trail and stay six feet away. I ran into the grass several times to give lots of distancing, but it was hard in the wooded or crowded areas. It's important to get outside right now and we should make it easy for people to be outside and be safe.

People confined to their homes will need exercise. Making room for these people and diverting the reduced automobile traffic in this emergency is both feasible and necessary.

My ride on West River Road yesterday was very unpleasant. Even though it was only 42 degrees, the trail seemed more crowded than the busiest days in summer. At the very least, we need to make the parkways 1-way to vehicle traffic. and use the remaining road space to allow safe passing distances to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Please .

I've been using trails, and tromping through yards and mud to give everyone space. Streets for people, please!

Safe corridors are greatly needed as people abandon Metro Transit and can't afford cars.
Please close the parkways to vehicles and open them up to the hundreds of people on foot and bike who want to get outside!
