Open Mounger Pool in Magnolia, Seattle sooner than scheduled!

Makes sense to me.

Clearly, it’s too late now to open in May, but it would be sensible to keep Mounger Pool open through at least the end of September. This is a resource that the City is woefully under utilizing…especially at a time like now.

We love this pool and the recreation and joy it brings to the community.

We should have this pool and Coleman pool should be open full time year round in my opinion!!!

Please open the pool now until school starts! Kids from all over Seattle learn to swim here because it has a warm shallow pool! My kids hated the big cold pools at other locations and would only feel safe and relaxed at this pool. It gives kids an outlet during the summer to stay active and social, older people use it for aerobics and lap swims. This is a super important pool, please do not take it away or limit it's availability from the people who need it in Seattle!

Safe ‘n Sound pool has been closed since 12/2021. We NEED a pool and options are few and far between.

Please open the pool earlier. The children and community need this after the last couple of years.

Please prioritize allowing our children to use our pools. Our summers are short enough without restrictions.

Why don't we find volunteers or staff for the pool? I know there are some Lifeguards that can work in Magnolia like my son for the summer.

Please prioritize lifeguards and staffing to offer a full season for Mounger; it’s an amazing community asset (used by Seattle residents far beyond Magnolia) that has already been shortchanged too much in the past two years.

Please open this pool ASAP. We missed so much it last few summers.

Need more options in our community of outdoor recreation for kids.
