Open Mounger Pool in Magnolia, Seattle sooner than scheduled!

Given surging COVID cases again having outdoor options for kids this summer is critical.

We would very much appreciate the pool opening on time. Please allocate the needed funding to open the pool for our children, community and for our health.

This pool is an amazing resource for many North End residents, beyond Magnolia - when it's open in the summer, I attend 2 or 3 times a week for deep water aerobics, coming from Ballard. Please reconsider your budgeting to open earlier. Thank you.

Mounger is a favorite, well used pool and the community relies on it. It is really important for many that the pool open as soon as possible, not the end of June.

My kids keep asking when the pool is opening. They love the pool and we’d go at least once a week!

My family misses the Mounger swim lessons.

I whole-heartedly endorse this request for early opening (and also delayed closure) of this wonderful outdoor pool.

I implore you to revisit this matter, re-imagine the area with more healthy activities, and reallocate budget to ensure the open access to this vital local resource.

The pool is a vital community resource. And, especially as we are coming off the heals of COVID, the community needs more ways to re-engage. Let's continue to promote outdoor activities that promote mental wellness. Thank you!

Please, we all have lived through the years with hope of May 15 Mounger pool opening. It makes so much difference for health of all kind of us in need.

Delaying the opening of mounger pool a month shortens the swim season by a 1/3 in an already swim starved city of Seattle. It’s difficultly enough to get lessons for kids here on top of availability of public pools.
