As a PTS alum and descendant of Abraham Kuyper, I wholeheartedly affirm the concerns expressed in this open letter to the center and to the president of PTS.

I tolerate many things but not intolerance. This makes no sense to me.

I am a 1986 PTS grad, and I'm horrified at this. I urge you to reconsider -- rescind the award and invitation to speak. If you make this choice, you can be assured that I will no longer support PTS as I have done annually for a number of years. The money that I would have sent to you will to directly to causes that support women, and LGBTQ people. Both as a grad, and as an ordained woman, I find this award and invitation completely outrageous.

Ph.D., Class of 1994 I am grateful for a PTS Ph.D. It's also embarrassing. Especially for a feminist. what would Jane Dempsey Douglass say?

Celebrating someone who does not honor my full humanity is an affront. PTS needs to stand with Jesus with the people at the margins.

This feels like a sucker punch. I cannot believe my alma mater would reward this person.
