I am highly disappointed in Kutztown University. No reason stated for firing this gifted and talented Educator.

Letter of support for Dr. Paige Brookins To: Kutztown University Administration and Council of Trustees From: Reading NAACP Branch #2289 When a respected, committed and loved college administrator is suddenly and inexplicably removed from her position, it is important to know the reasoning behind the decision. When that leader is and has been a beacon of light for so many, it is nothing short of a profound loss. When there are still so few critical role models for women and men of color to guide and prepare their academic and life pathways, this loss is all the more deeply significant. We respectfully ask that Kutztown University consider the far-reaching implications of this decision and, for the sake of students, faculty, and the University community, provide transparency and accountability for their actions. Furthermore, without a stated rationale for dismissal, the action to take is to reinstate Dr. Brookins to her administrative position. Education serves our community. Respected leaders like Dr. Paige Brookins lift up and guide our youth everyday as they prepare to become the next generation of leaders. Kutztown University, we ask you to please demonstrate, by your actions and words, that your commitment is to education and that integrity is your sole priority.

Why would she be removed without any reason. There are no actions on her part to warrant such a determination.

I believe the University of Kutztown is making a grave mistake.I believe they were mislead by outside forces(politicians, hate group(s),. (1) With mass media (social &fb) this will be blown up by students, various organization ,and communitiy churches. Its real sad,and I'm waiting to hear their justification!

retired KU faculty, former KU Ombudsperson Kutztown University needs to be transparent in its dealings with the students, faculty, administrators, and the public if it intends to project an image of academic honesty and fairness. I'm concerned that this was not the intent in this situation. Prof. Emeritus, John Loomis

What happened here is very disappointing and I pray that Justice will be done She has touched a lot of lives and it is very unfair not just to Paige but the students as well

Dr. Brookins played a an important role in my life during my college experience(s) at Kutztown University. She has been more than just a beacon for students who face cross roads during their time at KU, but she’s also been a mentor. Years later, BEYOND my time at Kutztown, Dr. Brookins still serves as a mentor to me and many others. Dr. Brookins is dedicated, resourceful, and genuine with a strong passion to help students succeed. Please reconsider her employment and allow her to continue to mold and help students who are in need of guidance & a safe space to be themselves.

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the hearts. Prov. 21:2. What ever happened to common courtesies? Dedicated workers in the field of educating the young and next generation are few and hard to come by. The spirit behind the letting go of hard working, dedicated workers without notice or discussion is a policy that needs to be reviewed. Consider how you would feel in the same scenario
