I respectfully ask that you reconsider this decision. I worked with Paige in the Act 101 program. She had developed a comfortable rapport with the students that I could not match. They trusted her in a way that they did not trust me, even when we gave them identical advice. I recognize that personnel decisions are confidential, but many KU students will benefit from a reversal of this decision.

Same old $#+&?. Just when you think things have changed at KU something like this happens that takes me back to my time there in the seventies. The good doctor needs her just due because she's entitled to it. The process needs to be transparent.

I worked as Dr. Brookins' administrative assistant in her role as Assistant Dean in the College of Business and found her to be a kind and generous boss who's commitment to and rapport with the students was inspiring. I was horrified and absolutely shocked to learn of her dismissal, it makes no sense to me after experiencing her commitment, work ethic and professionalism first hand.
