Do not forget the young. Secondary School Drama, and the other Arts subjects must not be smothered by STEM subjects.

The big ship sails on the Alley ALEO,
the Alley ALEO, Alley ALEO,
The big ship sails on the Alley ALEO,
On the last day of September.
The Captain said, 'It will never, never do,
It will never, never do,
It will never, never do', etc
The big ship sank to the bottom of the sea,
The bottom of the sea, the bottom of the sea, etc.
I find this weirdly fitting.

Government agencies must be more open, transparent, responsible, accountable and willing/able to inform, consult and cooperate with people in the areas of work they support.

There needs to be far greater involvement from practitioners in the Arts in both decision making and in the process of selecting/agreeing the appointment of duly competent assessors and panels with the right mixture of a creative background, financial acumen and legal skills. to make a decent job of assessing and deciding upon the merits of individual applications for funding. Additionally the entire process of making applications for funding needs to get out of the 1980's spreadsheet and doc world and be deployed online in a way that is in keeping the best up to date practises in both streamlining systems and in cost effectiveness. There is no shortage of suitable software for deploying such a system online. I'd like the opportunity to input a lot more in terms of this specific area.
