Open letter to ChildLine: Stop normalising the use of pornography to children

Porn is harmful to society.

Esther Rantzen should be ashamed ofthis betrayal of everything she used to stand fir !

Pornography involves the industrial scale abuse of.women and minors, it normalises violent and sadistic behaviour and is distorting human sexuality. Horrified that is being sanctioned by childline.

Pornography is abuse, of those who make it and those who consume it. It is not for children, even teenagers. They are by definition not adults and should therefore not be encouraged, advised or supported in their curiosity around pornography. Parents and government need to protect children. NSPCC need to urgently revise the information they are prepared to give to children. Relationships & sexuality are already a minefield for developing teens without introducing the unrealistic dynamics of pornography.

Stop this unhealthy fasination of pronouns and gender

This just beggers belief ! There are already issues with young people thinking the sex is depicted in pornography is how they should behave , it isn't, no wonder there is a rape culture in schools.

Porn is horribly violent and misogynistic. Teach kids that.

I am very disappointed that such a wellknown childrens charity would promote pornography to anyone, let alone children.

Violent porn and children's easy access to it is one of the biggest drivers of physical violence, especially against women and girls. Childline should NOT be normalising its existence or aiding an industry so often linked to perpetrators of rape, sexual violence and paedophilia.

Everything about the bloke and the video is horrendous. What's needed is proper education in schools and from parents, not from questionable young men rattling off all kinds of depraved "pointers" that children might have remained blissfully and innocently unaware of. That included the teachers and modes used in schools. Enough of this gender-bending, porn-centred noncery, it's sick. Leave the kids alone, let them have a more wholesome life as long as possible. What kind of world is this? Makes me wonder if the ppl & charities involved are paedophiles. It has been know. Stop proliferating it.

This video makes some good points, but in a weird way.

I'm disgusted that an organisation that pretends to care about children is pushing misogynistic and pedophilic obsessive porn onto children.

The section about the law is okay but this video goes way too far given it's clearly aimed at under 16s. It tells them "porn is great" and actually gives them extreme porn terms they may not have heard of yet that they will most likely then google.

I don’t believe that children will benefit from any form pornography. When they reach the age of school leaving is the time when they are able to make the choices for the way ahead.

It is unacceptable that children are being exposed to porn.

Truly sickening exposing children to the sordid world of porn. Perverted policy. Many young women are trafficked into this industry.

Safeguarding of children has to be the first consideration in any decision made by a children's charity. Otherwise it is open to abuse.

This is blatant child abuse and needs to be stopped now.
