Nadia Shoufani spoke on her private time & did not do so in her job as a teacher with Dufferin-Peel school board. Please take the opportunity to fully investigate the actions of Israel in occupied Palestine before you make any decision on this issue. I am sure you will understand and accept Ms. Shoufani's comments.

Ms Shoufani has spoken within the context of international law. The fact that authorities are targeting her is the real injustice. Their behaviour is truly shameful. Canada has given cover to outrageous flaunting of international law.

This appears to be a totally unjust action on the part of Dufferin-Peel School Board. I sincerely hope that their decision is reversed.

This is a question of free speech and the school board should be ashamed of caving in to pressure from B'nai Brith.

How can Israel hope to gain the respect of the world when it not only refuses to end the occupation, but also attempts to brutalize those who exercise their right to free speech about Palestine? We Canadians must stand up for our right to free speech and condemn this propagandistic attack against Ms. Shoufani.

CHRISTIANS wake up. " Revelations 2.9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan."
TO HELL with these murderous Zionists. Who would support those that murder children? God is watching!!! WAKE UP to those evil people who are not chosen but crucified by the Lord himself. READ your BIBLES and pay attention!

Suspending a teacher for, on her own time, giving remarks in line with international law and supporting the international legal right of occupied peoples to struggle against Occupying Powers (as confirmed multiple times by the UN General Assembly) is not only ridiculous and horrific, but a blatant disregard and rejection of free speech and international law.

It offends me deeply that this Canadian teacher's rights are being suspended due to the politically motivated group she was speaking out against. Remember the ongoing plight of teachers in Mexico and their sacrifice to attempt to retain free speech.
We are going there in Canada if we don't speak out about this unreasonable interference in this teachers personal life.

The "core" of our Constitution in the US is "Freedom of Speech", and, indeed, the most protected speech is "political speech". It wasn't presented in the 2d, or 3d amendment but the 1st. Without it we have nothing.

Complaints about this excellent teachers well-reasoned comments are without intellectual or moral basis. Humans have human rights, which her detractors like to pretend doesn't apply to Palestinians. But they're arguments are not grounded in either law or precedent or human morality; such people should be utterly disregarded. Solidarity with Ms. Shoufani.

Please be very cautious about restricting our Free Speech. It is fundamental to Canadian Culture. Without Free Speech, the truth will not get out.
