Who is going to keep faith with what is left of the Palestinian community of Christians that is left in the holy land. They are having their churches burned down and Bethlehem that was once a 100% Catholic are now said to be less that 15% since the occupation of the territories. Any one who wishes to spec up about the injustices of the people of Palestine are faced with an on slot of criticism and are smeared be on be leaf and must stand against a smear campaign of miss truths and embellished statements of facts that can defame anyone. Myself being a child that was educated in the Catholic school system, You have fail to exercise the Christian values that were impressed on me. Compassion, tolerance, understanding, respect of one an others opinion, and not just taking into accord the bias opinions of others who do not like the opinions of others. Remember the Christ child speaking in the temple to the elders. They to, dismissed Jesus be cause of his knowledge and his teachings. They too held forth their bias unto him, and dismissed what he had to say.

We experienced the same censorship to outspoken activists against South African apartheid, but decades later the once loathed Mandela becomes an inimitable hero for all across the political spectrum. We will find ourselves in a similar situation decades from now. Suspending Nadia Shoufani is a mistake, erring on the wrong side of history.

This is outrageous. Why would anyone be punished for exercising their freedom of speech? Even when they are saying nothing but the truth.

This suspension is unjust and unfair

As a Canadian I find this very worrisome on many levels... the censorship.... the stifling of free speech... the power and political influence of certain groups.... and the "spying" and harassment

Just for the record, I was bringing greetings from the Hamilton Coalition To Stop The War to the Al-Quds rally in Toronto on July 2, 2016. While I am a proud (and founding) member of Independent Jewish Voices, I was not speaking on behalf of that organization at the Al Quds rally. In addition, I strongly oppose the suspension of Nadia Shoufani for speaking out against the crimes of Israeli government at the rally. This suspension infringes on the Charter right of all Canadians to freedom of expression and is part of Bnai Brith's diabolical plan to silence any criticism of the State of Israel.

How unfair to take action against a woman who speaks her conscience.

I fully support what Nadia said. Israel must stop what they are doing. The Palestinian people currently have no rights. If we don't stand up for these people Palestine will be gone within the next 50 years.

That the school board can be manipulated to act without knowledge, let alone relying on the likes of B’nai Brith which slanders with terms like "hatefest", is beyond belief. Does the school board really want to bear the reputation of stifling free and truthful speech? A reminder too that Canada supported the last Palestinian elections which brought PFLP members to the legislative assembly.

No to allow Palestinians to speak about the horrible atrocities that the Zionists have inflicted on the Palestinians is racists and acquiesence to genocide of the Palestinians.

This recent action is shameful and reminiscent of McCarthyist-era fear-mongering at its worst. Teachers are completely entitled to their political beliefs and should not have their livelihoods threatened by ideological differences.
