I am grateful for AIA COTE's leadership on the issue of environmentally responsive design, and I believe building more sustainable communities goes hand in hand with equity. Let's keep this up.

Addressing climate change and inequality go hand in hand. More now than ever. Thank you COTE.

As a recently licensed architect, I hold my duty to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the general public very seriously. We must continue to protect ourselves, our county, and our future.

I'm appalled at the president elect's attitude towards science, the environment and in particular climate change. The AIA needs to take the lead in making sure the new administration does not reverse progress that we have already made.

Architecture is a service industry that facilitates others to drive our economy. Yet, we are gatekeepers and that (potentially) affords us some degree of influence. There are too few examples of our community leveraging that influence to be actual drivers of positive change. Let's step it up.

Thank you for your leadership! The "other" letter that came out is so off base.

As a representative of a university whose mission it is to educate and lead in a diverse and open environment, we strive to hire architecture firms that are in line with these values. It is a disappointment that AIA National appears to not value this in the same way. It is difficult enough to be a woman in the design and construction world, to not have the support of your leadership makes it even more difficult. Though I no longer practice architecture, I have remained a member of the AIA because it continued to keep me close to my roots as an architect. Now, I will question the efficacy of that membership.

Amazed this is even necessary. The AIA should be leading this, not questioning it, especially now.

If the President-elect wants to go down in history as a great leader, he needs to take action now to ensure there is a future.

I speak for myself as an AIA member, and I support the statements of the AIA COTE Advisory Group.
