It is unacceptable to spring these deficits and the lack of transparency makes me very suspicious

Sell the Tahoes. Reduce the inflated salaries of all the new hires. Reduce fat at the Board and Central Office before cutting anything at the school level where students are most affected.
ALSO make a decision about Capstone. It is either a required class and must receive a passing grade or it's an elective. As it is, guidance counselors (whether they should or not) tell the students that they don't need it and not all students take it.

Metro needs to put material resources into our schools on an equitable basis. There is no excuse to under fund education in Nashville.

Metro School has stepped on this teacher’s heart for the last time. I choose to not be a part of this culture that breeds fear and uncertainty anymore. This will be my last twelve weeks in this district and that saddens me. The continual lack of response from our elected officials from each of us teachers as we have begged for help will no longer suffice. I really hope there will be a reason for all of our board to be recalled. At least then MNPS might have a positive 180.

Can we stop dancing around the issue? This new administration has but one goal. To decimate our schools as much as possible which will then open up more federal money for them to play with. The principals Dr. Joseph and his team have placed in schools are running them into the ground. They are running off amazing teachers and in the process will run off amazing students and their families.
What will our board do about this?
My guess is to bring up another story about how charter schools are destroying our system.

Just got word that we are losing another phenomenal, blue ribbon teacher next week. She has simply had enough with Dr. Joseph, his staff and his principal appointees. One has to ask what would push a ten year tenured teacher out the door. One also has to ask if Tyese Hunter or Anna Shepherd even care. Our loss is Williamson County’s gain. The rich will keep getting richer.
