Maybe Mayor Briley can do what Barry couldn't and that is recognize incompetence in the leadership at MNPS and clean house.

After eight years of proud MNPS parents we are now making the needed sacrifices to send our kids to private school because of this administration and their crookedness.

While we are at it can we get rid of the horrendous, incompetent ”Public Information Officer?” She not only is incapable of telling the truth, but she also blocks teachers from her Twitter account. Myself and other principals are frankly tired of her Napoleonic complex and how she treats us with disrespect when we want to share our stories with the local media. Then again she hasn't the first clue with how to spread MNPS’ good news to the media.

Wondering how central office decides on each school's operating budget for electricity expenses. My school, for example, is very large and has an outdated heating and cooling system. It's either too hot or tool cold. According the health department the temperatures in many classrooms are what they consider to be unhealthy. This outdated heating and cooling system is pulling so much electricity that we have multiple rooms/areas throughout the building where we are told to not use the lights. It seems unfair and I am wondering if each school is given a certain amount of money for electricity or if that funding is based on the average of multiple years of use. It doesn't seem fair that other areas of financial need can't be met in our school because the operating expenses of our building or so high. I would like to see some information on this.
