kids need to go back to school. for so
many reasons! education, mental health and social health. if you’d listen to the pediatric association, that’s what they are saying. there too much feee from a virus that doesn’t affect children and there’s 98% chance of
getting better. good grief! also parents need to work. !

My special needs son does not learn online. He has already lost so much time without having that classroom structure, without having speech therapy, without having that 1:1 support that is outlined in his IEP.

My 1st and 5th grader HAVE to attend in-person school. They are suffering from lack of social interaction and even have bouts of depression. In person schooling is irreplaceable in so many ways, parents can’t even begin to make the impact that teachers can.

Please open our schools! Our kids mental health needs it. They are not going to thrive at home as much as they will in person! Nor will tests grades when our district gets tested the scores will show the harm! I pray for abuse and suicide rates as well! You’ve given the online option for those that are worried! Now follow thru with the in person option since that’s what the majority wants!

Especially for the younger kids! While not great, healthy kids are at higher risk of complications for the flu than they are for COVID-19. We don’t close schools during flu season. Safety precautions should be taken of course, mainly for teachers and staff, and there is no reason why school shouldn’t go on just as daycares have been “essential” and seemed to have avoided any of the issues the schools are concerned with. Schools should be considered essential, especially when online schooling is offered for those who are scared. Our kids need the structure of attending class in person.

The fallout from kids not going to school is greater than the relatively small risk of death from Covid. Please allow our kids to go back. LS parents majority voted for it.

open the schools! The kiddos need it more than you know! It is a very important part of their upbringing and mental health to socialize and be instructed by an individual that is trained to teach in person, not online.

Can we not start out in person and scale back if needed? My kids, as well as others, NEED to be in school. They are not wired to learn solely from a computer. Please open up in person!
