We have 4 students in the district. This is getting ridiculous. If private schools are going back in person, we should be able to as well.

Transmission rate for kids is less than 1%. New York City schools are being opened. You have far more kids dying of suicide car accidents and substance abuse then going to school. This is detrimental

I believe our community elected school board has let their community down. The statistics do not support shutting our kids out of school with no true guideline for reopening, let alone being able to make a decision. They have made it impossible for a family with two working parents to prepare for the upcoming non school year.

There is no good answer for every single situation right now, nor is in-person learning the best thing for every child prior to Covid but we still held school, knowing some kids do not and will never learn best in a public education model. That said, going forward, for the masses and the future of our children and what they have already missed, it’s essential we our school reopened.

Kids need to be in school for many reasons. There is a virtual option for those that feel that is best, let us be able to chose to send our kids if we feel it’s best.

There are avenues of safety for all. Follow and police the protocols and we will “have a school year”!
