To
implement a permanent entertainment district, including a relaxed open
container law, on the strip and in downtown Tuscaloosa in order to reduce the
prevalence of binge drinking during weekends.
The city council continues to ignore the reality that our current laws only push dangerous binge drinking into dark corners rather than managing it in the open. I am done waiting for these politicians to wake up and acknowledge that a controlled entertainment district is the only way to make our streets safer.

The city council keeps ignoring the obvious solution while the binge drinking disaster only gets worse. We have finally built a wall of pressure they cannot hide from anymore.
