To implement a permanent entertainment district, including a relaxed open container law, on the strip and in downtown Tuscaloosa in order to reduce the prevalence of binge drinking during weekends.

Updates

April 17, 2016

The city council continues to ignore the reality that our current laws only push dangerous binge drinking into dark corners rather than managing it in the open. I am done waiting for these politicians to wake up and acknowledge that a controlled entertainment district is the only way to make our streets safer.

April 17, 2016

The city council keeps ignoring the obvious solution while the binge drinking disaster only gets worse. We have finally built a wall of pressure they cannot hide from anymore.

Tuscaloosa needs to get with the times. Cops have better things to do than harass people with cups

Make it like New Orleans, nobody wants to chug a beer just to walk outside
