Brownies should be open to the public. I visited for over 10 years prior to it being closed to people out of the town.

Please open this beach and park to out of county visitors. There is no reason to close this access off.

I’ve heard so many good things about Brownies. I take my son to Matoaka Beach. Would be great to see anew beach to hunt for fossils.

Brownie Beach is a wonderful park that I have brought plenty of out of town and out of country friends too. The prices are already exorbitant for a teeny tiny beach but now that it is completely banned that is just ridiculous

Totally agree. I used to hunt there back in the 90s when I lived in MD.... This land should be open to all!

The town takes our money why can’t we use Brownies Beach?

We hunted it over 30 years ago, and for 10 + years after.

I went here to have some solace during my mom's last illness and after she died. It was a slice of heaven. Now I can't go at all. A beautiful place! I'd pay whatever fee. Please open the beach again!

It doesn’t make sense why the whole county can’t enjoy it….. yet people who don’t even live in this county can get into the beach at north beach with no problem.

I live in CB but am bot a town resident. I have personally cleaned the beach shores, had my pregnancy photo shoot done there & took my beloved dog there on his last days of chemotherapy before he passed away. Now being told i’m not allowed at the same beach that i’ve put blood & sweat into cleaning…The beach that has been in some of my fondest memories. It’s beyond devastating. Especially being told by a 16 year old girl that i ‘don't pay town taxes & .25miles outside of the area & should drive to Breezy Point’ makes me irate. I am a CB resident and should still be allowed to take my now 6 year old to the beach. We live in the beach yet cant access it….. It’s supposed to be a wonderful place to live.. i’m extremely saddened by this.

My girls have grown up going to Brownie Beach since we moved here in 1998. We live in Huntingtown. If my taxes pay for the upkeep of the beach, I think we should be allowed to access the beach. It should be open to all residents of Calvert County. Not being able to take my new puppy and future grandchildren to Brownie Beach will be a great disappointment for our family.

My wife and I had been interested in Brownie's Beach and the Calvert Cliffs as a nice day trip. Our plans were interrupted due to Covid restrictions. Now, power hungry bureaucracy has in my opinion illegally closed the beach and surrounding area. Sorry local businesses that will lose tourist dollars just for the benefit of a few. It's time to vote these A$$hats out of office!
