We should be supporting active and healthy lifestyles, whether it is walking or biking. I have yet to experience a negative trail encounter myself and mountain bikers should not be lambasted as a group for the poor decisions and actions of a few irresponsible riders.

Despite what some may claim, there are ample scientific studies that demonstrate mountain bikes do not damage the environment any more than hikers.

i have lived in scott valley all my life and have used this trail as my access to open space for years. It provides safe access to our open space as it avoids having to ride on camino alto.

The lack of legal mountain biking trails in the trail-rich hills and mountains of Marin County is an international embarrassment. Many steps are needed; opening this trail to mountain bikers is a small and obvious one.
