The IRS has confirmed they are initiating a formal review of the organization’s tax-exempt status based on the evidence we submitted. We will monitor the audit process to ensure the investigation reaches a final determination according to federal law.

Petition to open an investigation into the possible misconduct of RAMPS reqarding tax laws for a non-profit group and improper allocation of any funds obtained through bail scam.

As per IRS "Violation of constitutionally valid laws is inconsistent with exemption under IRC 501(c)(3). As a matter of trust law, one of the main sources of the general law of charity, planned activities that violate laws are not in furtherance of a charitable purpose. " RAMPS (Radical Action for Mountain Peoples Survival) members were charged with trespassing and obstruction after illegally entering the property of a WV mining establishment in an attempt to halt work activities. This constitutes illegal activities and it encourages its members to partake in such illegal activities. This violates the tax law regarding 501(c)(3) registered "charities" which RAMPS is listed under. We as tax paying citizens demand the following:

a) An investigation be launched into the validity of RAMPS listing as a non-profit organization and tax free status.

b) The inproper use of funds to bail out those individuals that committed crimes which violate IRS tax laws for a 501(c)(3) status.

We need to make sure that organizations like this are registered properly and pay their due in taxes just like every other citizen and corporation in this country and donations made in good faith by members are used appropriately.

The growth of this petition shows that the call for an investigation into RAMPS is gaining serious traction. I am currently finalizing a formal letter to the Internal Revenue Service to ensure these concerns are reviewed by the correct oversight departments.

Totally agree. If my small business has to pay taxes then everyone should have to follow the rules.

Finally someone is calling them out. They act like the rules dont apply to them just because they think they are right.

these people need to be held accountable for how they spend money. it is not right to use funds for bail after trespassing.
