A petition for tax audits of Congress and other High Officials

I just saw the number hit one hundred and honestly my brain is still kind of stuck on the fact that this many people actually stopped to read my typed out mess of thoughts. It feels strange to think about how many people care about the same tax issues that keep me up late scrolling through ledgers and wondering why the rules feel so different depending on who you are.

Well we hit five hundred people on this thing which is honestly more than I thought possible when I started typing this out in my kitchen at two in the morning. It feels like people are finally getting as frustrated as I am about who actually gets audited and who gets to just slide by because clearly this isn't working for the rest of us.

I honestly did not think this would gain this much steam when I first typed it out on my laptop at the kitchen table late at night. Seeing so many people jump on board makes me feel like maybe things could actually change if we just keep pushing for transparency from the folks in DC.

accountability is missing in this country. start with the people at the top
if they have nothing to hide why are they so scared of a little audit?? total nonsense
YES. make them show us the proof. so many people in dc are getting rich off us while we struggle.
My husband and I work hard and pay every cent we owe to the irs. they should be held to the same standard. simple as that.
about time. im tired of them making the rules and then ignoring them. transparency now.

They audit us every year so why should they get a pass? Fair is fair. Enough is enough
