Miss Bova is a very good teacher, she cares for each child and every child loves her. She is also very lovely and responsible. My kid loves her very much.

Our first year at OPA, and decision to continue at OPA, is solely due to Ms.Bova and her amazing teaching style. My child has learned more than I could've imagined as a Kindergartener and its all thanks to Ms.Bova; she exudes excellence, love and dedication for her students! I am in shock that OPA would let go of such a great asset to their school...please reconsider.

Dear OPA Board Members,
I couldn’t imagine a better kindergarten teacher than Miss Bova. My wife and I feel extremely fortunate that our youngest son had the opportunity to be enriched through the teachings of Miss Bova. At this point in his life he is not the easiest child to teach. Strong willed and “already knowing everything” it would be easy for a teacher to do the minimum and let him slide by. Miss Bova had an amazing ability to reach him on a personal and educational level. The change we saw in him was amazing! He morphed from a child resistant to school to one who strongly looks forward to returning to school next year (even in a mask) as he just told me this morning. He transformed from doing messy homework as hastily as possible to truly caring that his letters were neat, spaced correctly etcetera. My older two sons also attend OPA and have had many great teachers through the years but Miss Bova is at the top of that list. I have little to gain from her return, unless she teaches 1st grade next year, but I felt the need to voice my opinion for future kindergarten students who without a doubt would benefit from an educational experience with Miss Bova. I entrust you will carefully weigh offering the position back to her as she is a valuable asset to OPA.
Thank you for your time in reading this.
Sincerely,
Kevin Lorton

Ms. Bova is a very experienced teacher delivering great results. This will be a great loss for OPA and the students if she is not renewed.

I was the room parent for Ms. Bova's 2018-2019 Kinder class. I was at school almost everyday. I was able to see from the beginning how each student started out nervous and uncertain joining OPA midway through the year, transforming into confident Champions that belonged. This was all due to the love and compassion Ms. Bova had for each and every one of her students. I witnessed the connection each student had with her throughout the year. Ms. Bova truly cares about her students and it is obvious she loves children. I would be so exhausted by the end of day just helping, but Ms. Bova never stopped smiling and never changed her demeanor regardless of the day she was having. It would be a great loss to OPA for losing such an incredible teacher who goes out of her way to be an inspiration for our children. I sincerely hope the board reconsiders this decision.

I have watched and personally witnessed Miss Bova’s dedication and love for not only the student and their families, but abiding by the OPA traditions and ways. She has a genuine passion and love for teaching and children and is an integral part of their foundation as a kindergarten teacher.

Miss Bova helped my son open up around other kids. She taught more than academics- she is warm and caring and gives one on one attention to the kids.

Ms. Bova completely exceeded our expectations of her and herself as a member of the OPA faculty. She helped our son grow academically and socially. I understood the mission, values and goal of OPA through her words and actions.

Ms. Boba is an AMAZING person! Even after finishing Kindergarten and moving on to 1st grade my daughter would still make it a point to walk by the kinder classes to say hello and give Ms. Bova a huge hug! In fact, we may not have even been able to enjoy the superior education offered by OPA without the opportunity to join her class midway through the school year. Please reconsider!!

I’d be interested to hear why they would let one of their more experienced kindergarten teachers go. It seems like that would be a valuable asset during these troubled times, and something that would draw new families to this school. She has been one of the reasons that our families stayed attending this school.

My family has been at OPA for 6 years and I have 5 children currently enrolled at the school. Of all the many teachers we have had, Ms. Bova is one of the best! In addition to being an excellent teacher she is kind, loving, encouraging, and she took the time to really connect with each of my 3 children who were lucky enough to have her for Kindergarten. My kids love her and will be very sad to not see her smiling face around school. I am disappointed that my 2 future OPA champions won’t have the opportunity to have Ms. Bova for Kindergarten.

My daughter started OPA as a new student, coming from a Montessori she’d been at since she was 6 months old. The change was overwhelming at times. But Ms. Bova really helped my daughter, providing her love and compassion. My daughter’s transition to a regular school setting was a success because of Ms. Bova. I volunteered often in her class and Ms. Bova was amazing with all of the students. It’s heart breaking to hear she was let go. It’s a true loss for OPA and future students who won’t have the opportunity to have her as their teacher.

We love and adore Ms Bova she has an expertise of a psychologist to how kinder garden kids think. I owe my sons reading in 2nd grade level to Ms. Bova. Best teacher ever.
