I do NOT support Ford's cuts to essential curriculum for our students. Teachers should have been consulted about changes to the curriculum.

While I may currently be responsible for teaching kindergarten and the health and physical education gr1-8 curriculum changes will not necessarily affect my students (yet), I wholeheartedly agree that the content that has been removed is of critical importance for our children and society. It deserves to be included.

We must do right by our students, and the actions of the current provincial government put teachers at odds with our professional commitments. So we must reject the demands of the Ministry of Education.

My students deserve an education that will keep them safe in their relationships, in their online life, in their sexual relationships, and in their own bodies and identities. Their empowerment depends on having the information they need, and having access to the supports and spaces that will inform them of their rights. Our students need to see themselves in their curriculum, and they need content that will prepare them for their future, and equip them to live in the now. They deserve safe buildings and classrooms to learn in. We will not allow these blatant attacks on our students, our curriculum, and our school buildings to stand! #savesexEd #fixourschools #reconciliationNOW

All school board employees, not just students will benefit from a modern education in consent etc. Stop the transfer of school employees who sexually abuse students.
Makes sense to me.
These fit nicely into the law curriculum.
