We should beifting the disabled up not trying to eliminate them. We spouses should be able to keep all earnings with no clawback period.

The old curriculum does not support healthy inclusive school cultures for lgbt students. We educators are here to serve and support all students, especially when other spaces don't do it, it is up to us to create this culture. I don't think that people in support of going backwards really understand what it means for lgbt kids and how students learn to respond to them. It's important for adults to set the standards of respect and tolerance. Especially in this age, kids have access to so much information anyway, it's a danger to think we can bury it. The kids know, and this only sets a standard of non-acceptance and makes bullying seem more permissible,

I cannot knowingly keep information from students that promotes their well-being. It is morally wrong. I refuse to be responsible for leaving my students open to harm. I am an educator and I intend to do my job to the best of my ability.

These recent changes were much overdue and very relevant in my classroom this year. The old curriculum does not reflect the realities of the students in the class, the current human rights, or the challenges of living in the digital age. I can’t imagine going backwards.

Just because the Ford administration holds dear to beliefs that are passé does not entitle him to deprive Ontario’s students of an opportunity to have an honest and open conversation about sexuality with well qualified educators.
