The current cuts are demoralizing to our profession. We need to do something against these cuts or they will keep coming. We need to have one voice. The OMA is THE ONLY organization who can help and they are failing miserably. Hopefully this will be their wake up call!

The imposed cuts by the liberal government are simply unacceptable. We need the Oma to work harder to prevent our profession from being critically devalued

Unilateral cuts and clawbacks are forcing physicians to work for free. This is simply unacceptable to both the physicians and the public. Job action will be the way to go if negotiations (or rather the lack of) continue to fail.

I went into medicine to make an impact on patient's lives, not to be restricted by political red tape. These cuts will make it impossible for me to provide the quality of care that every taxpaying Canadian deserves!

If anyone needs to be well paid, it's a doctor. Don't cut their pay.

As a medical student in the final year of my training, these unilateral cuts have greatly influenced my decision to practice in Ontario. Add to that the recent decision to cut 50 residency spots in the province by 2015 and Ontario does not make an attractive province to continue my career.

I am a new grad. This isn't the way to keep me in your province. I have a lot to offer a community but my I refuse to have my years of training, liability, and dedication to patients continue to be discredited.

It's infuriating to see the OMA's pathetically feeble response to actions taken by the government, but then we should not be surprised by this thanks to the cozy subservient relationship between them thanks to Rand. This has to change now.

The OMA needs to think about doctors and protect their rights not just the OMA's monopoly on representation and vested interest in keeping its monopoly by staying on governments payroll.

It's preposterous that this is happening. I moved to Canada from the U.S but now seriously considering moving back. These cuts are only going to put more pressure on doctors to increase patient load and reduce quality care. Extremely disappointed!

Health care needs are on the rise with the aging population. Careless government spending of our tax dollars is the main issue behind our enormous deficit. Cutting funding in health care can only compromise access to services and ultimately produce a negative impact on patient well being. Our government has a responsibility to serve its constituents rather than acting in a corrupt self serving manner. Physicians have acted in good faith in their latest negotiation proposals. Unfortunately, the government ignored our proposal and inflicted arbitrary cuts in an unethical manner with far reaching consequences that violate basic human rights and needs.

I agree with the need for job action (like yesterday). I will draw the line, however, at any action that disadvantages our students and residents, or threatens the principle of access to care based on need not ability to pay.
