When the government rams through cuts in this way, MDs no longer feel responsible to make a fractured system work. I will do my best for my patients, but there is a limit to what I can do and services are going to go unprovided for new patients for whom I do not have room.

I am a semi-retired physician, who spent many years as an OMA representative, through the reign of a number of different governments. Never have I seen such blatant disregard and disrespect for our profession as I see with the current regime at Queen's Park. It is time for job action, otherwise if this situation continues, many of us will be voting with our feet, and Ontario will be bereft of a great and previously respected profession.

As an emergency physician, I have no control over the number of patients who present to our department.
Our population continues to grow, to age, and to have increasing health care needs.

Most of my work has involved providing services to society's most vulnerable people: seriously mentally ill, homeless/abject poor, Aboriginal peoples & those living with addictions. We are already some of the most poorly-remunerated physicians & further cuts will have a direct impact on the services we will be able to provide.

I've had a 30% haircut since starting practice in 2011. Time to start looking elsewhere for a job. The losers - Ontario patients!

It is appalling to have such action taken against the good quality care Ontario Doctors deliver everyday. "The greasy wheel gets the grease"... Ontario Doctors need to start squeaking and squawking. Get the government's attention somehow. Bring on job action! It has it's flaws but no other profession has passively endured cuts over so many contracts over such a long period of time. Let's speak up now as a profession and let the patients who love us and care for us speak out against Dictator Wynne and her merry band at the Ministry Of Long Term Ineptitude.

Please please please do something about this crisis. I am fearful there will be nothing to help us. Please try to negotiate with the government again or educate the public on this. Have a rally at Queen's Park. Do a press conference. Write a article. Get on the radio. Do a talk show. Do anything!!! Please.

No-one will work for free but they think Doctors should, teachers got a raise, government not cutting their salaries, this is not a democracy!

Its looking more and more of a good idea to move out of Ontario soon to other provinces where services of well meaning and hard working physicians are better valued and acknowledged.
