The most recent addition to the trail is scenic and a pleasurable trail to ride on. If the trail could be continued to go completely around the lake, I am sure that it will prove to be a popular destination for tourists and local residents and would be well worth the investment.

I bike this area trying to reach the lake trail on adjacent roadways and it is NOT safe! There is no current safe route option for pedestrians or cyclists. Lets provide one!

This would be a great improvement to the area.

These projects are not just lifestyle enhancers. They bring economic benefit to the area with increased tourism and by making the region more attractive when businesses are considering where to locate.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Few cities have a such a fantastic recreational opportunity to link city with a lake rich with the city's history. We can't miss the chance to make this happen.

There is some difference of opinion about which is better, paved or unpaved trails? In general, runners and walkers like unpaved trails, while those with strollers, in wheelchairs, or on bikes prefer paved trails. If the area is wide enough, perhaps there can be room for both. The trail could be paved, but leave an area on both sides unpaved.

The newest addition of the West Side Trail is being used by so many people, I can only imagine how will the Erie Canal Trail and Southwest Lakeshore Trail extensions would be received when completed.  As a longtime resident of Liverpool, the lake and surrounding areas had limited accessibility; now I'm riding the trails and photographing the beauty of the lake along with the returning wildlife.  I feel strongly that these two trail extension projects would enhance recreational activates and the quality of life for everyone that takes advantage of them.  Keep going, lets loop the lake.

I ride on the road, both recreationally and for local transportation. But I prefer to take off-road options if they: 1) provide a reasonably direct route to where I am headed and have a surface that I can ride on safely with the bike I am using at the time (e.g., when I ride the roads going east from Syracuse, I will jump on the Canal path for the two sections that are paved). 2) When I am riding with others who are less comfortable with road riding, I ride the off-road trails. 3) In scenic areas, where the trails let me experience areas by bike that I couldn't otherwise get to experience.

Please help put Syracuse and New York State on the "map" for safe bicycle trails, great for families, tourism and our future.

Please implement the proposed trail extensions! I am a recreational cycler, and I depend on bike/walking trails as I do not consider it safe to ride on city or country roads. These extensions would increase the variety of available trails in a wonderful way!

Love to see a connection of the Loop the Lake trail to the Inner Harbor as well as the connection of the Erie Canalway trail to the Onondaga Loop the Lake Trail
