As a homeowner of the house across the street from the Boone street farm, I definitely support this petition and want to add that any changes and new construction in the community has to involve Community Associations approval and support. There has been a lot of work on this site by me personally (all of the ornamental plantings on lot along 21st street were done and funded by me and my family (my 9 year old son and elderly parents) and it illustrates considerable and consistent support we have for the farm and garden. We are attempting to put a green back in Greenmount corridor and with so much available land in other blocks and vacant housing, this resource can not be allowed to be destroyed. I would also note that we also worked with the city to get two houses that were standing on site demolished (with Telesis's help) specifically for the community garden purposes.

The students at Cecil Elementary benefit greatly from participating in the growing of food at the Boone Street Farm.

Local non-profits like Boone Farm are the best route to building community strength and changing lives for the better. Don't weaken Baltimore by selling it out to a developer.

My daughter volunteered at Boone St Farm and saw the difference it made firsthand.

I am the Head Chair of the Awesome Foundation Baltimore, which has helped to fund local farms in the past. Urban farming is extremely important for the community. The farm has done and will do more good than a developer will. I am signing this petition because I am against using this land for development.

Keep this land as green space and for the production of food for the community!

There's so much wasted and unused space in this city...develop some of the vacant boarded up houses. Please let this green space live. It provides so much more for the community than more development would. It goes without saying that there's already not enough green space and gardens in the city...not only does it help the community, it helps the environment. Please do the right thing, not enough people are.
