Of all the laws put into practice during the last 7 years, this is among the least understandable. George Bush has been labeled the 'corporate' president, whose powers served his friends more than anybody, but who does this serve Who does this make rich Laws against internet gambling have done nothing but rob our economy of much-needed tax revenue. There is no proof that crime has been curbed. There is no proof that the moral fabric of our nation has been harmed. In a time of war and uncertainty, online gaming is barely a blip on the radar of public concerns. And yet, a whole class of people has been criminalized thanks to a competely illogical law. Repeal all prohibitions on online gambling. Add another avenue for business, as well as tax revenue, to grow and prosper. Gambling will never vanish from human society, it will only be persecuted. It is time we say no to the unchecked powers of our government, and show the presidency that it is the people who are the moral compass.
