Its time the city takes notice to the youth in this community. We have more than just two sports (football,baseball) in this community so please stop punishing the youth and give every youth and sport a chance.

We need a soccer complex really bad. We have won two state championship in less than a year and need a true complex to practice. Not an old muddy uneven ground of grass to practice on.

The youth of our county really needs this. Especially our soccer kids, we have nowhere to play that should be considered a field. Our own towns high school team can’t even practice on their own field because track is apparently more important.

We've played soccer in Oneonta for 12 years and always have trouble with using the baseball fields or the rec center field. Every city we travel to invests more in their children. This gets kids excited about their sports and helps to give them something to do.

This is ridiculously overdue for our community. If you continue to refuse invest in our children, you will choke out our county. Our own kids will grow up and move on to areas that can provide better opportunities for their families. Families looking to move here will skip right over us and choose an area with the facilities we are lacking. Let' make this happen!

I have been begging for this for YEARS. Don’t know if it will ever happen and it is such a shame. My kids started at 4 years old and now have aged out of the rec program. I will help any way I can. Good luck and maybe my grandchildren will see this happen. Shame on oneonta.
