This would be a great thing for our young kids! Anything to help keep interest in sports for young kids has my support. I travel through other city's for work and get to see some of their updated sport facilities and wish my kids had the same advantages. This will be great!

For the record, as a member of the Park and Rec Board, all parties involved know and understand this need. We've had this conversation for 10 years. We've changed between 3 different locations over the last 3 years. We already have plans drawn up for this complex and have been discussing those plans and the feasibility of this complex for the last 2 years. No matter the interest, parties involved, Council members, etc, the road block is always the same....money!!! The mayor, council, P&R Board, and many, many citizens are all on board if we figure out a solid plan on paying for it.
I don't say all of this to sound discouraging, but the opposite. I'm glad a new group is pushing for this and welcome as many as we can get to make another attempt at change. Keep the momentum going and keep organizing and pushing. Hopefully, we can make something happen! Good luck!!!
