I have been a Manhattan Beach resident for over 20 years.The 900 Club has always been a staple of our community and is involved with a lot of local charities. I think they should be treated with the same fairness all the local restaurants and bars are treated. They are are classy establishment that adds to the fiber of our quaint town.

South Bay resident for 30 years. 900 Club member since 2005. Manhattan Beach needs an alternative venue to go for us "older folks" who do not want to be surrounded by "kids" in dive bars at the end of the night. Thanks.

We have been memebers of the 900 Club for 6 years and it is a favorite place of ours to take our friends who come to visit. The food, atmosphere and staff are all wonderful, with that being said, they should be allowed the same rules as others in the surrounding area.

I have been a member of the 900 Club since Sept. 2003, not coincidentally the same month I married (my wife was a member) and the two of us moved to Manhattan Beach in April of 2004. That's fourteen years living in this city, raising children, making friends and generally rooting ourselves deeper and deeper into this community. The 900 Club has been a part of that experience. I've take my children there on summer afternoons for post-beach dinners and entertain out-of-town guests. It's often the go-to rendezvous before venturing off to Staples Center, The Forum, Dodger Stadium and points out of "the bubble," and it the place to reconvene afterwards. In short, when it comes to enjoying time in town, the 900 Club is at to top of my list. This is why I'm writing this letter. I fully support allowing the 900 Club to remain open on Thursdays until 1:00 A.M. On the occasions it occurs that either I or my wife and I find ourselves out past midnight on a Thursday, it's likely we're not long for the evening. Why is it that if we're enjoying the 900 Club on that night, at midnight we're forced to leave and go elsewhere? Why is that other establishments around town can stay open on Thursdays until 1:00 and the 900 Club can't? It's patently unfair to the establishment and it's unfair to its patrons. This needs to change. I will be very curious to see how each individual City Council member votes on this.

I have lived in Manhattan Beach for 25+years and have been a member of 900 for 15years. I believe the request for 1 hour on Thursday evenings is appropriate and consistent with other bars in the area. It is surprising to me the amount of scrutiny that the 900 club receives. The I believe a large majority of residents near the club are supportive of 900 and appreciate the efforts Dave and club members make to be respectful of the neighborhood. Allowing a small subset of individuals to dictate actions of the city as it relates to downtown establishments is not in the best interests of all residents. Dave continually supports the local community and is actively involved in many civic functions. I believe it is fair and appropriate that 900 be given 1 extra hour on Thursday nights.

I am a 25 year resident of MB, who votes. I have been a member at 900 Club for more than a decade, and I use it extensively for business meetings. It's unfair that I have to cut my private meetings short due to restricted hours. 900 should be treated as the other bars in MB and have an equal opportunity to stay open the same hours.

I've been a resident of Manhattan Beach for 47 years and I have witnessed many changes to my hometown during that time. I remember when the Shilo and Rock Bottom were at the location and when the 900 Club took over at the location. I joined The 900 Club around 2004 and have enjoyed my membership ever since. Dave and his incredible staff have created a wonderful place for locals to enjoy meeting other locals and building life long relationships. It's the Cheers of the South Bay.
Based upon my years of observation and patroniage of many of MB's restaurants and bars, I find it strange that the one establishment focused on serving the locals and residents of MB is being unfairly singled out for noise issues. It's been a bar and restaurant for my entire life, serving the people of MB. I've witnessed the changes in the past few years that Dave has implemented to address the concerns a couple people have had regarding noise and people gathering outside the establishment. I remember The Shilo and Rock Bottom and based on my observations, those establishments operated with much less concern for noise.
I find it completely unfair to single out Dave and the 900 Club for noise issues, that ever bar and restaurant in downtown MB creates, and require them to close early. I understand the concerns of the residents on that block about noise, but if they wanted more piece and quit they didn't have to buy or move next near downtown MB. I'm pretty sure that the establishment at 900 Manhattan Ave has been operating as a bar and restaurant longer than they have been living there. I find it odd and annoying that someone who moves near downtown MB, knowing full well that downtown MB is noisy at night because locals are out having fun with their friends and families, then complains about the noise. I live near Pacific School and the parents in the morning dropping off their kids and Saturday morning soccer games create noise, unwanted on my part, but I don't expect the

I have been a member since 1999 and the 900 Club has been a wonderful place to go for friends and family to meet. The Club always been respectful of neighbors and ensures that members are sensitive to the local residents. It has been a safe haven, especially for women to socialize and network in a friendly, quiet environment.
