The community members of Chinatown and Navy demand that their area be allocated back to ward 68 and want to be removed from ward 75. Nischal Ramesh CNCA Vice Chairman
The present demarcation separates us from the rest of Merebank and aligns us with Lamontville. The problem is that all of our service deliveries, logistical problems etc is common with the rest of Merebank and not with Lamontville. The saddest part is that the elected Councilor (ANC) was only seen immediately after his election But was NEVER SEEN AGAIN NOR RESPONDED TO ANY CALLS THEREAFTER
I have been talking about this for a very long time. I engaged the demarcation board last time before the ward elections but unfortunately it was after the cutoff date. Am glad to be part of this initiative
Merebank should be a ward of their own. As councillors from other aeras like Wentworth are not active in issues of merebank
I agree that Merebank should be a ward on its own cause we have a lot issues in our area eg sewer issues which I personally have to deal with often

All areas of Merebank should definitely be under 1 ward because it's one town and One Community.

Merebank needs to have it's own ward and councillor to serve the needs of the people of Merebank. We don't want to be added on to any other ward as an after thought. We are a community on our own so we need to our own representative to ensure the needs of the community is met
