Too Many Councils are GIVING UP on the resident camps. It doesn’t have to be and shouldn’t be a thing of the past!!

I went to Camp Winding River as a young girl and was fortunate to be able to take my daughter there. She is saddened that she will not be able to do the same.

I am saddened to hear of the closing of Camp Winding River. I loved spending my summers there as a scout, PA and leader. Not being able to share my love for this camp with my own daughters breaks my heart. Please save CWR, the young women in our area need this space to learn and grow into strong female leaders. Please give us one more summer.

I grew up at Potts and have wonderful memories there. I even worked there as a camp councilor. The GS really need this wonderful place!!!

I was a girl scout for many years going to these camps along with my mother before me. My daughter has just joined girl scouts and I want her to have the same opportunities as my mother and I had going to these camps! Its a special and unique way for girls to learn strength, kindness, and community. Please keep these camps open! Thank you!

I would have come back to camp this year if Covid wasn't a thing, so I'd love a chance to get to see the camp again.

There has to be a way to keep the properties. Have you even tried? Weddings, corporate retreats, residential retreats... There are so many options. They sold our camp before the word even got out they were selling it, and they took a low ball offer at that. Had we known earlier we could have raised the money you need. Sadly if the girls aren't coming to camp, it's hard to keep them up.
