I attended this camp as a child and volunteered as a leader well into my 20s. It's a wonderful camp that teaches teamwork, outdoor skills and life skills. I am saddened by it's sale.

My daughters and I started going to Camp Winding River when they were 4 and 7 yrs old. It became an annual event for us and we continued even after college. To this day, we love camping, hiking and surviving outdoors. We have so many great memories!

I spent portions of every summer at Camp Winding River, from camper to PA and into my adulthood. Camp shaped my education and career choices.

I was a troop leader for many years and our girls always looked forward to that week at camp Winding River and two of them were also counselors there for two years. So many important memories and events that helped shape who they are today.

The girls that participated and that have grown and stayed with it, it would be a shame to lose now.

Camp Winding River holds such a special place in my heart. I’ve been coming to this camp since I was 6 years old, and I’ve learned so much from our activities, made so many memories and gained so many friends that I’m very grateful for. The years I’ve spent at Camp Winding River have been irreplaceable and I’m so sad those times are coming to an end. I’ve enjoyed every second I’ve spent at camp and I know it would mean so much to so many people for one more year of camp to be allowed.

The experience of Camp Winding River had helped my daughter grow into the woman she is today. She is confident, caring and enjoys teaching younger girls to enjoy the experience! I am proud of all of my girls from our Hartland South/North Shore middle school troop that have continued to help younger girls enjoy the experience. Sydney, Mackenzie, Michelle and Katelyn. Laura and Sue Borth have shown great leadership over the years.

I can’t tell you how many great memories I have from Camp Winding River. I think I went every year until I graduated high school, and I would go back in a heartbeat. Everyone involved in keeping this camp alive truly puts their heart and soul into making sure girls feel creative, empowered, and successful.

I would love to be able to counsel just one more time at a camp I’ve been going to since I was a little girl. So many memories are here and so many more should be created.
