Please please do not change the name it would be a disgrace to take away the Redskins name that is what we are known for and if it’s not harming anyone it should be an honor to the Indians in the way back When it was decided it was an honor that is what my great great grandfather told me

I am Native American and I think it should stay as it is! To me it is an honor that they chose this as their mascot. To take it away is like taking away our heritage.

I never thought that being a Redskin was degrading I have talked to several American Indians and said they were not offended one even pointed out that they were called Red Mem because of the red dirt in OK

I started school at Union in 1951 and graduated in 1963. Most of my extended family, the Rothrocks, also attended Union, including my parents and siblings. We have ALWAYS been Redskins and will ALWAYS cherish our beloved mascot. PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE OUR MASCOT!

Please leave our mascot as is! Nothing derogatory about being a redskin! To me it means pride, honor, strength and family!
