I am Cherokee. My grandfather was one half Cherokee and spoke Cherokee. I think Redskin is and has always been a proud name. I don’t understand how some Indians can disagree with this. It is an honor to be an alumni of Union School the Home of the Redskins.

Redskin is a North American Indian. Tulsa means old town in Creek. Oklahoma means red people in Choctaw. What a perfect trilogy of names.

Never ever has this been a racist thing in our family. All children and grandchildren still go to Union. Proud to be a Redskin. It’s a Pride thing. Never a racist remark at all!!! Stand firm!!!
