Voting should be easy and accessible for every citizen.
- Many universities across Florida have polling locations on-campus for students who live and are registered to vote at the school
- Students who live and are registered to vote at the University of Tampa do not have on-campus polling location.
- Many students do not have cars, walking to and from the current polling location takes 40 - 50 minutes.
Please sign this petition to urge the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections office & the University of Tampa administration to work together to bring a on-campus polling location to the University of Tampa.

I have been reading the many stories you are sharing about the long walk to the polls and it really puts into perspective why this matters. It is truly humbling to see so many people come together to advocate for easier access for our fellow students. I am currently working on reaching out to the administration to see if we can get a conversation started about these barriers.

I don't understand how an on-campus voting site isn't already a reality for students.
Voting is a right, and students shouldn't have to go out of their way to vote off campus. We need on campus voting, it would definitely bring more students to the polls.
Students should not have to worry about how they're going to get to their polling location. If the polling location was on campus, the amount of students voting would increase tremendously given the ease of voting on campus.
I believe that bringing an on-campus voting area would increase the amount of voting participation. Students have very busy schedules and sometimes it’s hard to travel to a voting location.
Having helped get students from UT to their polling location at the last election, I can attest to the need for this.

Voting is a fundamental right and the bedrock of a functioning democracy. Participation should not require a car.
