The well has always served all folks, efforts recently have shown your priorities shifting from all to those willing to spend money in Downtown Oly, while in reality the backbone of downtown Oly spending is not the Upper or Middle-class but the working class who lives and works there. A fence is the exact antithesis of what is needed. Trickle down thinking has led to the decline of business in dwntwn Oly in favor of the mall. Please do not enclose and fence off one of the last examples of the commons we have, you will force us to violate this useless and pointless law via PMR...

It looks really nice down at the well. I don't think it is necessary to fence it off. This is not the right solution.

I am wondering why this did not come up more publicly when so many of us were at the city council meeting to discuss this. This feels like the council is going behind our backs. This is not the right solution.

The park is free. We want to be able to go there and get the water and not feel like there is restrictions to certain groups of people. This is not the solution.

It is better to have the kids have a safe place to hang out then have them running around all over the streets disturbing local businesses.

Instead of wasting time on that fence, take the money and build a house for homeless people to live in safely. There is too much in the city that is empty. Fences just cover up messes like government and it is not a real solution.
