Although it's hard to separate me from the uniform, I sign this without mine, as a neighbor and in support of our community. This happened before the process started, but I think we can work together to make sure this remains an inclusive process.

Why stop at a fence -- why not razor wire and sniper towers? Or maybe a moat filled with alligators? Seriously though, if fences are the best idea you can come up with despite the many positive and constructive suggestions that have been generously offered, it's time to cede the stewardship of this space to people with more vision, skills and experience.

Historically, fences and walls have not solved social or political issues.

what ever happened to the creative ideas proposed by lincoln kids ... there must be a record of these creative solutions ... olympia can come up with many more if need be! no fence! no bandaid!

I do not beleive a fence is in any way a remedy for the issues of downtown Olympia and the artesian well.

I truly believe putting up fences would have the exact opposite consequence of what they were intended for. Keeping the space open makes it much more comfortable for everyone to access the park, while putting up a fence is more likely to wall out some of those who simply want access to the well.

$30K for a fence that doesn't really address the issues at hand!?!?!???? You gotta be kidding me!!! Downtown Olympia desperately needs creative, compassionate solutions, not over-priced knee-jerk reactions.
